there are principles in [aikido] and [tai chi] that have a close relationship and similarity to [ido] theory, and practice, and, these principles of [ido] are different from sport [olympic] judo, judo do, contest judo, ect, because its character has changed, and evolved to a form more akin to [aikido] in practice, and both have close similarities, and connections with authentic chinese tai chi, with its fluid, [circular] movements, and the emphasis on the skilfull use of [chi] or [ki] energy, let flow at [the right moment], common principles of both, as with [ido], and, its a logical path to take
sutemi waza was retained in [ido] because of its value in continuous movement, and is an element, not seen in tai chi, or aikido
